🎵 Audio, animation, and now — fully visual game shops.
October brought motion, sound, and structure to Balancy.
With new animated icons, audio support, expanded UI Builder capabilities, and deeper View integration across LiveOps tools, this month focused on helping teams craft experiences that look, feel, and sound more alive.
Let’s explore everything that arrived in this final stretch of the year.
Starter Kit v27 — Bringing Interfaces to Life
The latest Starter Kit (v27) brought animation, feedback, and clearer structure to every UI example — making the learning experience more dynamic and realistic.
Here’s what’s new:
⏱ Animated icons — demonstrated through a subtle clock animation across all Views.
🌀 Waiting spinner animation — now shown during IAP confirmation steps.
🔊 Button sound support — assign audio assets directly to button components.
🧩 Cleaner layouts & structured JS — every View received layout refinements and better-organized JavaScript.
Together, these changes make the Starter Kit a stronger foundation for building polished, interactive LiveOps interfaces.
Starter Kit v30 — Visual Game Shop Example (NEW)
A second Starter Kit update landed at the end of the month: Starter Kit v30.
This release adds a complete Game Shop View example, demonstrating how a storefront can be built entirely inside Balancy using Views technology.
Highlights:
🛒 Full game shop example built with Views — no external UI needed.
🧱 Clear blueprint for how to structure and style in-game shops visually.
🎬 Animations not added yet — but planned for future updates.
This is an excellent resource for teams adopting the new Game Store template and wanting to see a real, production-style UI flow.
LiveOps Package v156 — Build Your Game Store Visually
This release marked a major leap for LiveOps designers and UI teams.
The Game Store template now includes a View parameter, enabling fully visual construction of in-game shops.
Teams can now:
✨ Design shop screens visually with drag-and-drop UI Builder tools.
✨ Attach unique Views to each shop to control layout, flow, and style.
✨ Open the Game Store directly from the Demo App (button appears only when a View exists).
This connects economic setup → UI → player experience into one seamless creative workflow.
LiveOps Package v157 — Views Now Support A/B Testing (NEW)
Released shortly after v156, LiveOps Package v157 expanded View functionality even further:
Views can now be used inside A/B tests for:
- Game Events
- Offers
- Game Shop
This means UI variations can now be tested just as easily as pricing or logic — letting teams experiment with layouts, messaging, and visual presentation directly inside Balancy.
Audio Assets Arrive
Sound officially joined the Balancy ecosystem.
The Assets page now includes Audio as a dedicated asset type, letting you store and use audio files as easily as images.
Great for:
- Button clicks
- Store jingles
- Seasonal event cues
- Success/failure feedback
- Animations with sound timing
It’s the final piece needed to control both the look and the feel of your LiveOps experience.
Why It Matters
October’s updates pushed Balancy into a new creative era — where teams can build not just logic and content, but also the visual and auditory layers of their live experiences.
With:
- Animated UI
- Button sound support
- Full View-based shop examples
- A/B testing for Views
- Audio assets
- Stronger Starter Kit foundations
Balancy is no longer just a LiveOps management platform — it’s becoming a creative engine for LiveOps itself.
Wrapping Up
As 2025 moves toward its finale, October stands out as a transformative month.
UI Builder gained real momentum, audio became first-class, and Views expanded across stores, events, and testing.
Animated icons, responsive buttons, View-based shops, and View-driven A/B tests are just the beginning.
The next chapter will continue pushing toward a LiveOps workflow that is seamless, expressive, and fully creative — from logic to visuals to sound.
Stay tuned — one final update left before we close out the year.
